Without auotobús and walking on the highway
July 30, 2010 - Rosario Garcia Casielles (Mieres)

The right to complain has been insufficient to combat the abuses that every day we are forced to suffer the users of the bus service covering the Oviedo Pola de Lena, who manages the company Fernández.

Since the last attempt to patch things up with the strike conducted by workers circumstances have not improved in the fundamentals in regard to users, we have to endure a bus without heating, leaky, insecure seats likely sources of infection, problems with the number of places (there busy schedules to work only in a bus, may reinforce another to avoid leaving users at stops), and so on.

What happened on June 22, 2010 than any fiction. The facts were as follows: in time 0750 hours, from Mieres Oviedo and the bus had problems in Mieres, it questioned the driver to seek a solution for it was only a week the bus had left us without service output Mieres required to make transfer to another bus (which left on time 08.10 hours). Despite coming almost full, we went to this other bus, arriving at Oviedo to about 12 or 15 people standing. Returning to the incident

day 22, the driver responded that the highway as the bus focus recover. We expected that all passengers are met, ie, when he returned to stop at the first traffic light at the entrance of the bus Oviedo could not restart. And what was the best solution? For all the passengers get off and go walking by the roadside exist without any mark up to the stoplight at the Plaza de Castilla. This is totally unacceptable. We have been exposed to a hazard free, because This situation could have been avoided. Reflecting on this story bring to mind events news for the highway, thinking before the alleged negligence of drivers getting out of car breakdowns and accidents having serious consequences, and yet, users of public transport we bound by the poor service the company provides us to risk our lives to get to reach our destination.

This chronic situation that we have to suffer from every other day also leads us to ask whether as users and citizens have a right, including advocating for decent transport XXI century and an industrialized country to be independent of oppressive monopolies that leave us paralyzed by lack of means to deal with this tax to reach the capital by road.
